During the Salon, I mentioned that I had recycled several Terry Goodkind novels, to some small shock.
Perhaps this excerpt will explain why I feel perfectly justified in this decision.
What remains more puzzling is why I bought so many of them in the first place. *pain*

“In that instant, she completely understood the concept of a chicken that was not a chicken.”
Wow. Just…wow.

Aaaaarrrgh. I should have known not to click that link, having suffered through his Sword of Truth nonsense (”Wizard’s First Rule”). This might even have been worse. Ouch.

Personally, I approve of this timely warning about chickens. I eagerly await the sequel, a cautionary tail about squirrels.

Iain, I think you should author the sequel.

Kiri, an excellent suggestion. I have full confidence that Iain understands instantly the concept of a squirrel that is not a chicken.

Actually, squirrels are very like chickens:
1) Beady Eyes
2) Twitchy Tail
3) Fly
4) Similar taste
5) Evil
6) Cowardly
7) Sharp pointy teeth

One thing I love about the salon: we always manage to raise the level of discourse. ;)
Hey, why did the chicken-that-is-not-a-chicken cross the road?
