It would be really nice if there were some way to easily see which posts are new since your last visit and which posts have new comments. This could be done simply (and not as satisfyingly) by comparing the time-of-last-visit against the time-of-posts, or more sophisticatedly (but satisfyingly) by tracking which posts you’ve viewed. The system knows who we are (since we log in), so maybe it already supports this functionality?

Interestingly, I got an email notification when Trey posted comments on my post. So there is some notification in that sense. I don’t think we’d want email notification each time anyone posts anything on the site, but highlighting “unread” posts when we visit would be nice.

I am trying to decide about RSS. I almost never use a newsreader, but it seems really cool. I learned about it when I enabled it for my own wiki. Maybe, try the RSS link and see if it suits you?

Yeah, I’ve been looking around for a good RSS aggregator… don’t have one yet. Does anyone else have suggestions, or have you tried the RSS feed here?
